Robert O. Peters is writer/dp/director and founder of Whitestone Pictures, mother company to Whitestone Filmworks an award winning film company Located in Suwanee, Ga. For more than 20 years he’s haunted the globe with his fellow filmmakers to make dozens of films, television shows, music videos and television commercials. Robert lives in Snellville, Georgia with his beautiful wife and two sons. In 2014, it was reported that the comedy film, 30 Days in Atlanta, directed by Robert Peters, was the highest-grossing film of all time at the Nigerian box office.[6] The movie was also featured in the 2017 Guinness Book of Records as one of the films with the highest domestic gross in the territories of Bollywood, Nollywood and Hollywood, listed alongside PK (from Bollywood) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (from Hollywood).
In 2005 he relocated to the USA,[5] where he enrolled for a certificate degree in Visual Storytelling hosted by New York University. Peters was then associated with Film Career Connection in Atlanta, which offered him on-the-job training on various film sets across the US. He also enlisted with REDucation a real world training on Red camera and equipment, taught by working professionals, for current and future working professionals.
Robert Peters is married to Deborah Peters. He owns and runs Whitestone Filmworks LLC, an African Film Production Studio in
Snellville, Georgia USA.
He further went on to work with other filmmakers of African decent on different projects across the world. Within the last 10 years he had worked with numerous Hollywood and Nollywood actors – Vivica A. Fox, Lynn Withfield, Eric Roberts, Karlie Redd, Paul Campbell, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Neville Sajere, AY, Ramsey Noah, Desmond Elliott, Majid Michelle, Nse Ikpe Etim Lisa Raye McCoy, Tangi Miller, Anthony Ray Parker, just to mention a few. And won numerous Film/Video Awards. He directed the two highest grossing film in West Africa titled, “30 Days in Atlanta” and A”A trip to Jamaica”. Two other Films he worked on, “Carpe Diem” and “The Dowry Man” went on to be part of DSTV African Magic’s
Original film for September to Remember of 2015.
